Friends of Montgomery Community College gathered at the James H. Garner Conference Center in Troy for the College Foundation’s annual Fall Auction Fundraiser. This year’s theme, Viva Las MCC, celebrated a Las Vegas-style casino night which was enjoyed by all. DJ Versatility provided the evening’s music, and Valerie Ingram of Roni’s Kitchen provided the evening dinner and dessert.

Jordan Lumber & Supply, Incorporated of Mt. Gilead won the $5,000 raffle prize, electing to return the prize money to MCC for use toward student scholarships.

Area companies and friends helped to sponsor the event, including Jordan Lumber & Supply, Edward Jones Investments, McRae Industries, First Bank, Wells Fargo, Friends in Focus, Fidelity Bank, Duke Energy, Capel Rugs, Montgomery Farm Bureau Insurance, FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Oliver and Wanda Sweeney, Harlan McCaskill, Anna Hollers, Robinwood Enterprises, Friendly Chevrolet and Pee Dee Electric.

The Fall Auction Fundraiser, coupled with the Clays for Education Event and the Earle A. Connelly Golf Tournament, raise scholarship funds to support MCC students.

MCC scholarships are maintained and distributed through the MCC Foundation, making tuition, books and fees affordable. The Foundation is grateful to all of its donors and sponsors for extending the possibilities of education to our deserving students!
