Adjunct Facility Maintenance Instructor (Construction Trades)
Associate’s Degree in construction trades or related field and extensive experience in general building maintenance and/or general contractor experience required.  The curriculum will prepare individuals to repair/maintain electrical and mechanical/physical structures of commercial and industrial institutions. Adjunct Computer-Integrated Machining Instructor
Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach computer integrated machining courses designed for career technical programs. The faculty member must be able to instruct a wide variety of topics within the curriculum in a laboratory environment and may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours.  Associate’s degree in machining or a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining or related field required.  National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications for teaching assignment or the qualifications/experience to obtain within 1yr of hire and/or a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study preferred.  More than 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining, post-secondary teaching and/or industry training experience, experience with set-up and operation of conversational mills/lathes, experience with multi-axis on both lathes and mills, and/or experience with set-up and operation of CNC equipment preferred.  Start Date: August 2020; Open until filled. Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Bachelor’s degree in education research, administration, business management, organizational development, or a related field.  Experience in higher education preferred.  The position guides institutional research and effectiveness operations at the college. Primary duties include assisting with college planning, conducting surveys and analysis, and aiding in the evaluation of program effectiveness. Management skills, organization, adherence to detail, and follow-up are essential. Successful candidates should have a strong working knowledge of spreadsheet, databases, and statistical analysis programs. Judgment is needed in interpreting and prescribing guidelines and procedures for institutional effectiveness and program development. Assistant to the Dean of Continuing Education (F/T)
The Assistant to the Dean of Continuing Education is responsible for the oversight of all program area records within Continuing Education, and works with all personnel in scheduling classes in our course management software/system. This person functions as the office manager making independent decisions regarding operational matters. He/she must work well independently without close supervision and with adherence to established program guidelines and procedures. The Assistant to the Dean works closely with administrative staff members and Student Services to ensure student accounts and transcripts are accurate and that Continuing Education class records meet State Board of Community College Code and NC General Statutes. This position also provides orientation and training for both full-time and part-time staff and supervision for office personnel as directed by the Dean of Continuing Education.
Required: Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related business field.Two (2) years’ experience in an educational setting or business field related to educational offerings. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or other software applications relating to data entry and other Continuing Education activities. Excellent communication skills.

FT Sustainable Agriculture Instructor (10mth Position)
Instructor will teach a wide variety of agriculture-related courses and manage greenhouse facilities. The position will work with high school and traditional college students, advise the local FFA Chapter, and assist students in coordinating FFA activities at the local, district, state and national level. In addition, this position will plan/attend occasional evening events (recruitment events, advisory committee meetings, awards ceremonies, etc.). Required: Bachelor’s Degree in an agriculture related discipline or an Associate’s Degree with demonstrated experience in field required. Previous teaching experience preferred.
