Full-Time:

Full-time Distance Learning Coordinator
The Distance Learning Coordinator supports the implementation, development, integration and ongoing operation of the college’s Learning Management System (Blackboard ). Under limited supervision, the Distance Learning Coordinator will provide support to Blackboard users and administer the Blackboard (Bb) learning management system. Additionally, the position will provide training to staff and faculty on the use of the college’s LMS, as well as other topics related to teaching online. This position will provide technical support to students and supervise a computer lab available for student use and academic testing. Performs system administration functions by creating courses and accounts, uploading rosters, performing backups and restores, and archiving course designs. Researches and implements improvements for distance learning related to student success initiatives. Maintain a highly detail-oriented disposition with demonstrated capacity to work in a team-oriented environment while interfacing with various departments to manage and support the use of online learning systems.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field of study such as Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or other related field from a regionally accredited college/university.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in an online environment, a strong background in online instructional design, and/or knowledge or ADA compliance is preferred.

Full-Time Instructor (9 month): English; or Dual English/Communications or English/Humanities

Requirements: Masters Degree in English, Communications or Humanities with 18 hours in one of the other above listed disciplines. 1 year community college teaching experience required; 3 years community college teaching experience with experience using learning management systems (Blackboard) preferred. Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison provides leadership and oversight for institutional planning processes, conducts research and analysis for informed decision making, and develops institutional assessment systems to ensure accountability and effectiveness. He/she assists the senior administration in implementing a planning, management and assessment program, and facilitating the management of the college’s strategic plan. The Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison reports directly to the President and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

The Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison deals with faculty, staff, college administrators, and staff of the North Carolina Community College System. The incumbent must be able to deal diplomatically with other divisions of the College to enhance the process of institutional effectiveness and SACSCOC compliance. The ability to communicate to groups of faculty and staff through division meetings is necessary. Also, person-to-person relationships are necessary for explaining procedures and interpreting data. Correct conveyance of fact is critical, and there must be attention to detail in analyzing, interpreting, and dissemination of analytical data. Confidentiality of information is expected in this position.

Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, business management, organizational development, or a related field. Experience in higher education. Knowledge of the higher education accreditation process with at least one regional accrediting body such as SACSCOC. Management skills, organization, adherence to detail, and follow-up are essential. Judgment is needed in interpreting and prescribing guidelines and procedures for institutional effectiveness and program development. There is some amount of policy interpretation.

Part-Time/Adjunct General Requirements:

Montgomery Community College is looking to expand our part-time Fire
Service faculty in Continuing Education. Using NC OSFM lesson materials the Fire Service Instructor will present course materials in a manner which is relevant and informative. The instructor will deliver basic and/or
specialized instruction in firefighting techniques to volunteer and
professional fire service personnel. Instructors prepare students for state
certification and provide rigorous, high-quality continuing education

EMS Instructor
Montgomery Community College is looking to expand our part-time EMS faculty in Continuing Education. The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Instructor will provide classroom instruction utilizing effective teaching methods. The instructor will deliver basic and/or specialized instruction in patient care to volunteer and professional EMS personnel. Instructors prepare students for state certification and provide rigorous, high-quality continuing education for currently credentialed personnel. Law Enforcement Instructor
Montgomery Community College is looking to expand our part-time Law
Enforcement faculty in Continuing Education. The Law Enforcement (LE) Instructor will provide rigorous instruction in basic and/or specialized LE content following the guidelines of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission. Instructors prepare students for state certification and provide rigorous, high-quality continuing education for currently credentialed personnel. Accounting Instructor, Part-time

PT Instructor(s) for Nursing Assistant I Program
Registered nurse with an unencumbered license to practice in North Carolina; at least 2 years (4000 hours) of experience as a registered nurse and proof of one of the following:  Completion of a course in teaching adults, experience in teaching adults, or experience in supervising nurse aides required.  Position includes classroom, online, and clinical instruction.  Employment date: Open.

Nursing Instructor for Part-Time Clinical Instruction
16 hours per week.  Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.  Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse, and (2) calendar years or equivalent of Full-Time Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse required.  Pay based on MCC Salary Plan.

Adjunct Pool (College & Career Readiness)
Classes will help individuals earn a High School Equivalency diploma, learn English, improve spelling, math, and writing skills or generally improve their academic skills in preparation for college-level coursework. Bachelor’s degree, applicable certifications and/or 2 years education training experience is preferred.  Application review is continuous and opportunities are on an “as needed” basis.

Adjunct Computer-Integrated Machining Instructor
Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach computer integrated machining courses designed for career technical programs. The faculty member must be able to instruct a wide variety of topics within the curriculum in a laboratory environment and may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours.  Associate’s degree in machining or a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining or related field required.  National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications for teaching assignment or the qualifications/experience to obtain within 1yr of hire and/or a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study preferred.  More than 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining, post-secondary teaching and/or industry training experience, experience with set-up and operation of conversational mills/lathes, experience with multi-axis on both lathes and mills, and/or experience with set-up and operation of CNC equipment preferred. Open until filled. 

Part-time HVAC Instructor (Evenings)
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC field. Computer experience required and teaching experience a plus. NCCER certified trainer preferred but not required. This position is ongoing until filled; the anticipated start date is August 2021. Salary is based on education and experience.

Part-time Upholstery Instructor (Evening)
High School diploma. Five years upholstery experience required. Instructor or trainer experience preferred.

Part-Time Food Service Technology Instructor (Adjunct Position)
Master’s degree in related food service field or a Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in related computer field from regionally accredited institution.
