Full-time Distance Learning Coordinator
The Distance Learning Coordinator supports the implementation, development, integration and ongoing operation of the college’s Learning Management System (Blackboard ). Under limited supervision, the Distance Learning Coordinator will provide support to Blackboard users and administer the Blackboard (Bb) learning management system. Additionally, the position will provide training to staff and faculty on the use of the college’s LMS, as well as other topics related to teaching online. This position will provide technical support to students and supervise a computer lab available for student use and academic testing. Performs system administration functions by creating courses and accounts, uploading rosters, performing backups and restores, and archiving course designs. Researches and implements improvements for distance learning related to student success initiatives. Maintain a highly detail-oriented disposition with demonstrated capacity to work in a team-oriented environment while interfacing with various departments to manage and support the use of online learning systems.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field of study such as Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or other related field from a regionally accredited college/university.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in an online environment, a strong background in online instructional design, and/or knowledge or ADA compliance is preferred.

Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison provides leadership and oversight for institutional planning processes, conducts research and analysis for informed decision making, and develops institutional assessment systems to ensure accountability and effectiveness. He/she assists the senior administration in implementing a planning, management and assessment program, and facilitating the management of the college’s strategic plan. The Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison reports directly to the President and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet.
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness/SACSCOC Liaison deals with faculty, staff, college administrators, and staff of the North Carolina Community College System. The incumbent must be able to deal diplomatically with other divisions of the College to enhance the process of institutional effectiveness and SACSCOC compliance. The ability to communicate to groups of faculty and staff through division meetings is necessary. Also, person-to-person relationships are necessary for explaining procedures and interpreting data. Correct conveyance of fact is critical, and there must be attention to detail in analyzing, interpreting, and dissemination of analytical data. Confidentiality of information is expected in this position.
Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, business management, organizational development, or a related field. Experience in higher education. Knowledge of the higher education accreditation process with at least one regional accrediting body such as SACSCOC. Management skills, organization, adherence to detail, and follow-up are essential. Judgment is needed in interpreting and prescribing guidelines and procedures for institutional effectiveness and program development. There is some amount of policy interpretation.

Adjunct Computer-Integrated Machining Instructor
Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach computer integrated machining courses designed for career technical programs. The faculty member must be able to instruct a wide variety of topics within the curriculum in a laboratory environment and may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours. Associate’s degree in machining or a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining or related field required. National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications for teaching assignment or the qualifications/experience to obtain within 1yr of hire and/or a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study preferred. More than 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining, post-secondary teaching and/or industry training experience, experience with set-up and operation of conversational mills/lathes, experience with multi-axis on both lathes and mills, and/or experience with set-up and operation of CNC equipment preferred. Part-time HVAC Instructor (Evenings)
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC field. Computer experience required and teaching experience a plus. NCCER certified trainer preferred but not required. This position is ongoing until filled; the anticipated start date is August 2021. Salary is based on education and experience.

High School diploma. Five years upholstery experience required. Instructor or trainer experience preferred.
