Adjunct Facility Maintenance Instructor (Construction Trades)
Associate’s Degree in construction trades or related field and extensive experience in general building maintenance and/or general contractor experience required.  The curriculum will prepare individuals to repair/maintain electrical and mechanical/physical structures of commercial and industrial institutions. Course content will include carpentry, interior/exterior finishes, plumbing,  blueprint reading, building codes, OSHA regulations, etc.  Instructor will work with High School and traditional age students in day seated classes. Adjunct Computer-Integrated Machining Instructor
Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach computer integrated machining courses designed for career technical programs. The faculty member must be able to instruct a wide variety of topics within the curriculum in a laboratory environment and may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours.  Associate’s degree in machining or a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining or related field required.  National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications for teaching assignment or the qualifications/experience to obtain within 1yr of hire and/or a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study preferred.  More than 3 years of relevant industry experience in computer integrated machining, post-secondary teaching and/or industry training experience, experience with set-up and operation of conversational mills/lathes, experience with multi-axis on both lathes and mills, and/or experience with set-up and operation of CNC equipment preferred.  Start Date: August 2020; Open until filled. Dean of Student Services and Registrar
Master’s degree in Higher Education or Student Services-related field from an accredited institution. 3-5 years’ experience in the Student Services-related field. Primary activities include supervision of recruiting, admissions, registration, counseling, academic and career planning, financial aid, marketing, and advertising, and public relations activities. Candidates must be able to perform the functions of College Registrar, including running college reports, responding to state and federal reporting requirements, and ensuring the accuracy of FTE reporting processes. Experience and/or knowledge of the North Carolina Community College System, Planning and budgeting processes is preferred. Computer skills: must be adept at data entry and retrieval using the Ellucian Colleague System, MS Office programs. Excellent supervision, management, leadership and public relation skills.
