When the registration period opens, students are required to contact their advisor to schedule an advising and registration appointment to discuss their academic plan and review course offerings. Advising is available to students by scheduling a meeting, emailing or calling their assigned program advisor – advisor’s name will be included in student’s acceptance letter. After completing advising, students may register for courses online by logging into their Self Service account.
Registration reminders are mailed and emailed periodically to current and new students. For registration planning, dates for early and late registrations are included on the Academic Calendar.
Student are not considered officially register for any course(s) until tuition and fees have been paid.
Payment options include:
- In person at the Cashier’s Window if using cash or check or credit/debit card.
- Online through Self Service if using a credit/debit card.
- If receiving financial aid, please refer to your Self Service account for your Financial Aid status.
- Payment Plan. To help you with educational expenses, MCC offers a convenient payment plan through Nelnet. Nelnet is not a loan program, there are no interest or finance charges, and there is no credit check. You pay a $30 per semester Nelnet Enrollment Fee for the service. All Students: If you need to change your schedule after you have registered, please speak with a Student Services staff person prior to the beginning of the term. Beginning the first day of the term, students wishing to change their class schedule must drop and add classes during the same transaction (at the same time) or incur a 25% penalty.
