MCC and SCC Partner to Expand Game Development

Montgomery Community College (MCC) and Stanly Community College (SCC) have signed an articulation agreement to expand educational opportunities for students pursuing careers in game development. This partnership allows students who complete MCC’s IT-Game and Simulation Certificate Program to seamlessly transfer their credits toward an associate in applied science degree in simulation and game development at SCC. Agreements like this provide students a clear pathway to further their education and career prospects in the dynamic and growing game development field. Leadership Montgomery Celebrates 30th Graduating Class!

MCC Pins Medical Assisting Graduates

As anyone who has experienced a medical procedure knows, the Medical Assistant is one of the most impactful people a patient comes into contact with. MCC Forestry Hosting Timbersports Competition

On Saturday, April 12th, the MCC Forestry Program will welcome around 100 students from seven other institutions to the MCC campus for a day of timbersports competition! The annual “Mid-Atlantic Woodsmen’s Meet” is in its 23rd year, with MCC welcoming teams from Allegany College of Maryland, Haywood Community College, Mountain Gateway Community College, Penn State Mont Alto, Penn State University Park, Wayne Community College and West Virginia University. The competition, which is free and open to the public, begins at 8am on Saturday April 12th on the MCC Campus. Thousands of Meals Prepared at MLK “Day On” Event at MCC

January 27, 2025

Approximately 120 volunteers met at Montgomery Community College to package nearly 10,000 meals in a half-day of service on January 20, 2025. Volunteers from MCC (board, students, faculty and staff), Communities in Schools, 4-H, Youth Leadership Montgomery, Eckerd Connects, Montgomery County Schools staff, East Middle School, Montgomery County Early College and Troy Rotary participated in the 17th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. “Day On” Challenge.
