Tanisha Bowden is a graduate of West Montgomery High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Elizabeth City State University. For the past decade, she has been working with Communities in Schools to help guide students towards a successful future. She is thrilled to embark on a new journey as an MCC Success Navigator, allowing her to play a more significant role in shaping students’ futures.
“For someone considering MCC, at any stage, I would say you don’t need to have it all figured out right away,” explains Tee. “We have support staff and a lot of resources that are going to help you over time. Everybody’s journey is different, but we have good processes and people in place here to help you discover your best self.”
Tee strives to provide students with the necessary guidance and resources to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic and personal goals. Tee understands life can sometimes present challenges, but her personal experiences have taught her that the key is to remember who you are and stay focused on your path towards greatness.
One of Tee’s favorite quotes is one she shares often with her students, from Christian Larson: Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.
Tee looks forward to meeting with students considering enrollment at MCC. In her free time, she enjoys watching basketball games and traveling.
