MCC’s Free CCR Classes Begin in July

Community Continuing Education

Montgomery Community College is offering free Career & College Readiness classes to help individuals earn a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma, learn English, improve spelling, math, and writing skills, or generally improve their academic skills in preparation for college-level coursework. These no-cost classes employ various instructional methods designed to meet students’ unique learning needs. Based on a student’s level of assessment, hybrid classes (a combination of online and face-to-face instruction) may be offered.

High School Equivalency (HSE)
HSE classes are designed for adults who did not complete a high school education or those who wish to strengthen their skills before continuing their education or seeking employment. The college currently offers HiSET testing services. HSE is offered on the MCC campus (Mondays through Thursdays from 8AM to 11AM and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30PM to 8:30PM) and at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church (Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30PM to 7:30PM)

English Language Acquisition (ELA)
ELA is for adults who have limited or no proficiency in the English language. Classes for ELA are offered in person at Candor Elementary on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00PM to 8:30PM and Green Ridge Elementary on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00PM to 8:30PM.
