MCC Recognizes Gaming Programmers

Curriculum Students

MCC is about to award certificates to its first cohort of gaming programmers! This May, twelve students will complete the Simulation, Game, and Development Certificate for transfer students.

With Fall registration approaching, this is a great time to reserve your spot in one of two upcoming certificate courses that teach students how to program and build their own video games. MCC is also offering a third certificate in programming.

The first certificate, like the one this cohort is completing in May, caters to students who are planning to be transferring to a four-year institution. The second gaming certificate caters to Career & Technical Education students. Both certificates provide students with the skills required to build their own video game and prepare them for a career in gaming.

The third certificate MCC offers is in computer programming, which caters to those students who are going to be transferring to a four-year institution. This certificate provides students with the programming skills needed to program in four different programming languages; C++, C#, JAVA, and Visual Basic.

If you are a student who likes to play video games, is interested in making your own video games, is interested in a career in gaming, or simply interested in learning how to code, MCC’s new certificates present some great options. Visit www.Montgomery.edu to learn more and get registered!
