MCC Golf Tournament Funds Scholarships

MCC’s 24th annual golf tournament fundraiser provided over $17,000 in funds to support the MCC Foundation and the academic endeavors of Montgomery Community College students. The event, which took place April 8th at Densons Creek Golf Course in Troy, featured 16 teams of four players.
“This year’s event represents our second-highest fundraising effort to date,” explains Korrie Ervin, MCC’s Director of Resource Development. “Funds from this event will support student scholarships, faculty and staff support, summer camps, diversity events and much more. We appreciate the generosity of our sponsors, the big-hearted nature of the individuals who play each year, and the volunteers who attend to make the event a success.”
The First Bank team took the first place trophy, followed by Fidelity Bank in second place. The day follows a captain’s choice format, with players able to purchase additional mulligans, toss and ladies tees. “The traditions within this annual event make it fun, relaxing and very entertaining for everyone involved.”
