MCC Celebrates First Pinning Ceremony for Dental Assistant Grads

SMILE! This afternoon, eight Dental Assisting students received a commemorative pin from Shannon Thomason, Dental Science Program Director, celebrating the completion of their program requirements.

Friends, family, faculty and clinical partners were on hand to celebrate the accomplishments of Nuria Gonzalez Leon, Kayla Hardy, Heidi Mitchelle, Olissa Morton, Christie Sedberry, Gracie Smith, Katie Stuart and Kristin Vaughn. Today’s guest speaker was Dental Assistant II Jamie Garner, who spoke about being full of grace- towards yourself, towards the doctors you are assisting, and the patients who are quite often nervous and afraid! Our student speaker was Katie Stuart. Katie shared the affection she has for this year’s class of confident, capable professionals. Congratulations ladies, we are so proud of you!
