Montgomery Community College bids a fond farewell and happy retirement to its Vice President of Instruction and Student Services, Mr. Lee Proctor. Lee has served MCC for the past seven of his forty-plus years in the field of higher education. Prior to his arrival to MCC, Lee succeeded in many impactful roles at Piedmont Community College, Alamance Community College and Elon College. His track record in leading faculty and staff and supporting students is unparalleled, running the gamut of residence life and housing, student recruitment and retention, academic records, institutional effectiveness and student development.

Here at MCC, Lee has been a gifted leader, always quick with a smile, a word of encouragement and a helping hand. Lee played a pivotal role in guiding MCC through its pandemic challenges, and most recently through its successful SACS re-accreditation. To say Lee will be missed is an understatement, as he helped create and foster the personal, supportive culture for which MCC is known. Lee, you have been a treasure to this institution and you’ll be remembered always. Godspeed!
