 The Goforths’ passion for community involvement, education and scouting was the impetus for their legacy gift to the MCCF. Through this scholarship, the Goforth family seeks to promote the virtues of hard work, commitment and friendship. This scholarship is awarded to an active member of either Boy Scouts of America or the Venture Crew and a recent graduate from a Montgomery County high school. Recipient is chosen based on involvement in the Scouts or Venture Crew, high school grade point average and community involvement. Recipients must maintain a G.P.A. of 2.0 and full time status with degree or diploma objectives.
