A group of dedicated educators founded this scholarship to pay honor to Brenda Chriscoe Ritter who, at the time, was battling cancer. Mrs. Ritter was successful in her fight with cancer, and the scholarship today celebrates her life as a career educator in the public school system. The preferred recipient is an adult student who is a mother with a dependent child.
