Requesting an official transcript via National Student Clearinghouse

Montgomery Community College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the web. Official transcripts are processed electronically through the National Student Clearinghouse’s eTranscript service. This service offers the options to have official transcripts sent via Electronic Exchange or Electronic PDF. Requests can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using any major credit card.

There is a $2.90 fee for each official transcript sent via electronic exchange. Electronic PDF’s have an additional shipping and handling fee of $1.00 charged by the National Student Clearinghouse. You can review your Clearinghouse transcript order request here.

If we are to mail the information from MCC to another location, you must provide complete address information. If you do not include the mailing address, your request form will be returned to you for completion before the request will be processed. This will cause a delay in processing the request. “Official” transcripts bear the Registrar’s signature and are usually mailed directly from MCC to the employer or educational institution. Unofficial transcripts are stamped “Issued to Student.” Many agencies and institutions will not accept a transcript as official unless they receive it directly from MCC through the mail. Unofficial transcripts may be faxed; official transcripts cannot be faxed.
