The Child Study Club is an organization of twenty-five women that was founded in 1934 with the mission to improve the lives and educational opportunities of children. The club’s motto became, “Healthier, Happier Children,” and while this is still a primary mission of the club, the range and impact of the club’s charitable outreach has grown to encompass children of all ages. The Child Study Club holds two major fundraising events each year. The proceeds from these events go to fund scholarships, support foster kids’ programs, support local libraries, and make financial contributions to local fire and rescue squads, the Peabody Center, the Montgomery County Theatre Group, senior adults, and the Troy Beautification Committee.
