Frank Tedder Roberts and Edith Whicker Roberts both taught at the Mount Gilead School in the early 1950s. Frank Roberts was a vocational/agricultural teacher, and Edith Roberts taught sixth grade. This scholarship is endowed by their daughter Anne Roberts Samsel to support programs that help provide students “the ladders upon which the aspiring can rise” and shares the vision that Montgomery Community College is a place of discovery, critical thinking, and educational excellence.
