The MCC Practical Nursing program is accredited by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The Board approves educational programs leading to licensure, receiving its statutory authority from Articles 9A and 9C of Chapter 90 of the General Statutes - the Nursing Practice Act(G.S. 90171.19-90-171.47) and the Nurses Aides Registry Act (G.S. 90-171.55).
Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Employment opportunities include hospitals, rehabilitation/long term care/home health facilities, clinics, and physician's offices.

The Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy (BLET) at Montgomery Community College is in compliance with the Commission-mandated guidelines appearing in Title 12, North Carolina Administrative Code, Chapter 9. The state mandated training is recognized by both the Criminal Justice Standards Division and the Sheriff's Standards Division under the North Carolina Department of Justice and is accredited the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
