Online Training / Certification Classes

All our courses are self-paced and you can sign up anytime to participate at your convenience.

Online EMS, EMD, EFD & EPD Courses

Credentialed EMS, EMD, EFD and EPD providers looking for a more convenient way to earn their state-mandated continuing education units (CEUs) can now take their training online with Montgomery Community College's EMS, EMD, EFD and EPD online continuing education modules. New online modules are scheduled each month. Course fees are waived to any EMS/EMD/EFD/EPD with affiliation to a proper roster.

Each online course will have a PowerPoint presentation, article or video to watch as part of the course requirement. Students will have the opportunity to participate in online discussions with other students throughout the state. Courses are available for one week with a 10 - 20 question test at the end of the course. A score of 80% or higher will earn the student 3 CEUs. A total of 12 topics will be covered annually for a possible 36 CEUs.

Custom Training Programs

The Customized Training Program supports the economic development efforts of the State by providing education and training opportunities for eligible businesses and industries. Amended in 2008, this program combines the New and Expanding Industry Training Program and the Customized Industry Training Program to more effectively respond to business and industry.

Lunch Time Business Series

Communication Skills
This course is designed to help you improve interpersonal skills for the workplace including: 1) dealing with conflict, 2) improving conversational and listening skills, and 3) identifying nonverbal cues in an intercultural setting.

Technical Writing
This course is designed to teach skills related to the layout and design of technical reports used in business and industry. Topics include: 1) audience analysis, 2) data collection and analysis, 3) technical writing style and organization, 4) oral presentation of technical data, and 5) appropriate use of graphics in written and oral presentations.

This course is designed to teach entry-level skills in customer service for a variety of servicerelated industries. NC Works Career Center

The NC Works Career Center at Montgomery Community College is a user-friendly facility, which provides job seekers, training seekers, and employers’ access to a variety of employment and training services and information. The Center provides assistance in job searches, vacancy postings, resume writing, labor market and school information, career development, financial aid opportunities and referrals to other agencies as needed.
