Online Training / Certification Classes

Online EMS, EMD, EFD & EPD Courses

Credentialed EMS, EMD, EFD and EPD providers looking for a more convenient way to earn their state-mandated continuing education units (CEUs) can now take their training online with Montgomery Community College's EMS, EMD, EFD and EPD online continuing education modules. New online modules are scheduled each month. Course fees are waived to any EMS/EMD/EFD/EPD with affiliation to a proper roster.

Each online course will have a PowerPoint presentation, article or video to watch as part of the course requirement. Students will have the opportunity to participate in online discussions with other students throughout the state. Courses are available for one week with a 10 - 20 question test at the end of the course. A score of 80% or higher will earn the student 3 CEUs. A total of 12 topics will be covered annually for a possible 36 CEUs.

Custom Training Programs

The Customized Training Program supports the economic development efforts of the State by providing education and training opportunities for eligible businesses and industries. Amended in 2008, this program combines the New and Expanding Industry Training Program and the Customized Industry Training Program to more effectively respond to business and industry.

Owning Your Own Gun Shop $70 8 AM-5 PM F

For individuals who are interested in the business side of owning a gun shop, this course serves as an introduction to financing, federal firearms regulations and permits, zoning permits, and marketing.

QuickBooks Basic Training $75 6-9 PM MW 4/18-5/9 Rm 143
This course is designed to carry the QuickBooks user to a more sophisticated level of use in QuickBooks. Experienced or new QuickBooks users will learn to fully utilize all the features of QuickBooks for home or business purposes. The course also allows time for students to customize some aspects of QuickBooks with instructor support.

NC Works Career Center - Montgomery

The NC Works Career Center at Montgomery Community College is a user-friendly facility, which provides job seekers, training seekers, and employers’ access to a variety of employment and training services and information. The Center provides assistance in job searches, vacancy postings, resume writing, labor market and school information, career development, financial aid opportunities and referrals to other agencies as needed.

The NC Works Career Center and MCC partner to offer the NC Career Readiness Certification to individuals and businesses. The CRC serves as a portable credential that can be more meaningful to employers than a high school degree or a resume!
