Dean of Continuing Education - Full time position to oversee the operation of the Continuing Education Department. Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Business Administration or related field, required.  Master’s Degree preferred; three (3) years community college experience or related industry/business experience preferred.  Please see below for full details. Minimum Qualifications

Job Requirements
The Dean of Continuing Education reports to the Vice President of Instruction and serves as administrator of Continuing Education and its programs, services, and activities to ensure that they are supportive of the purpose and mission of the college. The position provides leadership for program development and oversees all data reporting and accountability issues. Long-range planning, budget requests, expenditure approval, and operational practices are also the responsibility of this position.
The Dean will ensure that proper receipting practices are followed and that record keeping is accurate, secure, and meets accountability criteria of external accrediting agencies. The Dean assumes responsibility for appropriate and accurate granting of CEU’s. The position is responsible for compliance with current laws, rules, regulations, and policies that pertain to Continuing Education as well as accuracy and timeliness of data reporting.
The position serves as coordinator of evaluation strategies in order to improve programs and services in Continuing Education. The position is a liaison between Continuing Education and the Vice President of Instruction and coordinates the dissemination of information and publicity pertaining to programs and services.
The Dean works closely with departmental staff to recruit, screen, and recommend to the Vice President of Instruction all personnel for the department. The position is responsible for ensuring that proper orientation is provided for all new employees and that departmental employees carry out policies, procedures, and regulations in the MCC Policy and Procedures Manual.
The Dean will perform other duties related to the needs of the college as assigned by the Vice President of Instruction.

Difficulty of Work
Work is not repetitive, but is constantly changing and is related to changes and assessed needs, interests, and expectations of the business community and public at large. The Dean must keep abreast of wide variety of program guidelines and to be able to keep support staff, instructors, and students informed.

Responsibility
The Dean of Continuing Education is responsible for the general operation of the Continuing Education Department and has supervisory responsibility for employees in the department. The position must ensure that all practices and procedures are completed within clearly mandated operational and reporting guidelines to ensure program audits that are exception free.

Personal Relationships
The Dean of Continuing Education works with community groups/individuals and governmental/service agencies to determine program needs. It is essential for the position to maintain contacts to aid in the development and implementation of programs in the areas of Occupational Extension, Business and Industry, Community Services, and Basic Skills. The position must also maintain effective contact with system office personnel who deal with program issues of Continuing Education. The Dean must communicate effectively with other MCC personnel and departments.

Housekeeper/Custodian - Full time position. Four years related experience and high school diploma or equivalent required. Duties will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, cleaning restrooms, shampooing carpets, sealing floors, collecting trash, restocking custodial supplies, assisting other custodial personnel and assisting with event set-ups, etc. Hours: M–F; 7:00am–3:30pm and may require additional hours as necessary. Welding Instructor - Part time evening instructor to teach welding. Minimum qualifications: must possess competencies as combination welder and be knowledgeable of ASME code requirements. Must be a good communicator with effective verbal and written skills and be able to organize and provide theoretical and practical instructional activities to enable students to become AWS Certified. Associate degree preferred.
Preferred candidates will possess American Welding Society Certified Welding Educator or Certified Welding Inspector.
Responsibilities include teaching all phases of the welding program to include gas metal (MIG), tungsten inert gas (TIG), shielded metal arc (stick welding), oxyacetylene fusion (gas), inner shield welding, flux core welding, flame cutting, brazing and soldering and pipe welding. Must be able to provide related instruction in metallurgy, blueprint reading, welding symbols, fitting and fabrication. Must be able to lift, stoop, stand and walk to demonstrate and perform all job duties required. Hourly salary rate is commensurate with experience. Position open until filled. Montgomery Community College is accepting applications for a part time evening Welding Instructor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
