Career and College Readiness

Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult High School (AHS)
General Education Development (GED®)
Engish as Second Language (ESL)  (English)

Career and College Readiness classes are offered for the adult who desires to complete studies for the GED® or to review reading, math, and English skills. Instruction is available to the non-reader. Classes are offered both on and off campus. Instruction is individualized and students progress at their own pace. Several businesses and industries sponsor classes for employees.

Before enrolling in a class, an individual must attend a Career and College Readiness Registration Session. Minors (16-17 years of age) may enroll in the program but need to obtain a Minor Release Form to be completed by a parent or legal guardian and the Board of Education before registering. For further information please contact Kathy Garner-Smith, Career and College Readiness Coordinator, at 910-576-6222 ext. 236. Classes are FREE.
