Institutional Effectiveness: Institutional Accreditation

 

Montgomery Community College is accredited by accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award certificate, diplomas, and associate degrees.  Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call (404) 679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Montgomery Community College. 

To gain or maintain accreditation with the Commission on Colleges, an institution must comply with the standards contained in the Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement and with the policies and procedures of the Commission on Colleges. The college was initially accredited in 1978 and was most recently reaffirmed in 2014. The Director of Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness serves as the institution’s SACS liaison and as such, is the coordinator of all SACS-related activities and submits all required SACS documents.
